Great league.

The self proclaimed best league in the world. Or an over-hyped, over-rated bag of... ? We can be talking of only one thing - the Premiership of England.

Pele, Beckenbauer, Eusebio, Muller, Best, Moore, Cruyff, Chinaglia, Weller. Part of Brian Glanville's all-time XI ? No, just some of the stars who went to the States in the 70's and 80's to earn a few easy bucks... sorry, we mean to try and establish the North American Soccer League. It all eventually went pear-shaped but it was fun while it lasted.

The Bundesliga may not have had quite the same appeal as the NASL did for the legions of British players who headed over the pond, but there's still been a number of players who've given it a try.
