Striker Jeppson moved to Charlton Athletic from Djurgardens in 1951 and scored an impressive 9 goals in 11 appearances for the Addicks. He then transferred to Atalanta in Italy before moving on to Napoli for a then world record fee of £51,000, earning him the nickname 'the Bank of Naples' (o' Banco e'Napule).
