VfL Bochum - 'The Unrelegatables' ...nearly

Bochum were nicknamed 'Die Unabsteigbaren' in the 80's as year after year they survived relegation from the top tier. Promoted to the Bundesliga in 1971 they lived up to their nickname for 20 years. However, following their first relegation since the nickname was given they have been up and down in proper yo-yo fashion. Strangely though, the nickname has stuck amongst the fans.
