class=midsection Season 2006-07Are you the sort of person who insists that the Premiership is the most popular league in the world by a country mile ? Well, pull your head out of the sand ostrich boy - the Bundesliga is still ahead of it in terms of fans going through the turnstiles. Some interesting movement from the last year, particularly the Italian Serie A, which has now dropped behind the French and Japanese leagues and is only fractionally ahead of the English Championship. Expect this to change in 2007-08 though with Juventus, Napoli and Genoa all back in the big time. The figures also show that the Scottish Premier league has nudged its way into the top 10.
