Dutch striker Luuk de Jong of PSV and Ajax's Serbian star Dušan Tadic were the joint top-scorers for the 2018-19 Eredivisie season with a fantastic 28 goal-haul each, the highest number of goals in a season since Icelandic striker Alfreð Finnbogason notched 29 goals for Heerenveen in 2013-14.

It's the first time that their have been joint winners of the award since two genuine legends of the game grabbed 25 goals apiece back in the 1990-91 Eredivisie season - PSV's Brazilian striker Romário and Ajax's Dennis Bergkamp terrorising defences back in a real golden period for the Dutch league.

Next season both Tadic and de Jong will look to become the first player since PSV's Mateja Kežman back in 2003-04 to top the goalscoring charts for two season in a row.
