Mourinho Departure Reaction More Stunning than Mourinho Departure
It has been one of the biggest events in world history, shaping the destiny of
civilisation for decades to come. The departure of Jose Mourinho from the Chelsea
has truly been getting the coverage it deserves. The varied, lyrical tributes
from the football world have flooded in as well. "He was a breath of fresh air"
according to Mark Lawrenson in Saturday's Daily Mirror. Not to be outdone,
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp opined that Mourinho was "a breath of fresh air"
as did an editorial in The Sun. But it was left to Steve Bruce to the tell the
world that Mourinho was "a breath of fresh air" on the BBC, Sky Sports News,
Al Jazeera, CBeebies and Luton Hospital Radio. Graham Poll, writing in the
Daily Mail took a different angle "He was a breath of fresh air", stated the
controversial former whistler. Finally, Blackburn legend Simon Garner told
the Lancashire Evening Telegraph that "Mourinho had undertaken a Faustian
pact with the Russian oligarch in order to circumvent the natural laws of
footballing success. Yet ultimately, t'was not to be". No hang on a minute,
he actually said something about "fresh air".

So 'the Special One' has left the building, and depending upon which paper you read, he might not
be back for a while. Blimey, if you believed some newpapers then you'd think that Mourinho
is the only person in football who's ever been worth listening to. Well he's not, as our list
of proves.

If you're a Celtic fan then we suggest you close your eyes now. It's Rafael Scheidt time!
Yes, it's the player who almost single-handedly changed the British opinion that all Brazilian
footballers are great, and who underlined just how desperate John Barnes and Kenny Dalglish had
become. To re-live Scheidt's move from Gremio to Celtic,

I Bet He Looks Crud on the Dance floor
There is always a sense of anticipation when things go quiet at Hearts. You
always know that something is just around the corner if you hold tight long
enough. Well, with the club making a dreadful start to the new season... nobody
in charge of first team affairs, players being signed by people unknown to the
coaching staff and morale among the playing staff in that area just below rock
bottom, madcap owner Vladimir Romanov had to act. And indeed he has, addressing
the endemic problems at the club in his own inimitable way by announcing that
he will appear on Lithuania's version of Strictly Come Dancing. No,
really. 'Mad for it' Vlad, bless him, is a lot more coy on the dance floor than
in the boardroom - "Sometimes I go to dances, I look, and that's all. I have
not enough courage to dance." Rumous that Doug Ells is to appear on the
next series of Love Island have yet to be quashed by ITV.

Captain of Belgium's U17 team, he was, along with fellow countryman Eden
Hazard, one of the players of the tournament as the Belgians were unlucky
to lose on penalties to eventual winners Spain. A geunine leader from the back,
Daeseleire works tirelessly up and down the flank, defending and attacking
in almost equal measure. His club, Racing Genk, currently have the best
crop of youngsters in the Jupiler League and they will be hoping
Daeseleire can maintain the form he's shown in the past year.
