The best football stuff from last month... |
World Cup Closing Stages, the football in the closing stages wasn't as good as the opening round, apart from the
Germany Italy game, which was mint.
|
World Cup Final, seriously, will anyone rememeber anything about the game apart from
Italy winning on penalties and Zidane's headbutt. What was he thinking ? He had a fntastic
tournament but the only thing people will talk about in the future is the Materazzi incident.

What we listened to last month... |
The View: Wasted Little DJs (Single) |
|
A gem of a single from these young whipper-snappers. "The View are on fire" chant fans
at their gigs, and on this evidence, they most certainly are.
|
Bloc Party: Two More Years (Single) |
|
Rip-roaring single, so good that they've decided to re-release Silent Alarm with this added
to it.

TV stuff from last month... |
Stewart Lee Standup (TV) |
|
After the disappointment of the world cup exit, cheered ourselves up with Stewart Lee's
standup show on the Paramount channel. Laugh out loud funny.

Films we watched last month... |
Syriana (DVD) Rating: 8/10 |
|
Complex, sometimes confusing, film about the oil situation in the Middle East.
Its not an action movie, but a slow burnring, thought provoker.
George Clooney and Matt Damon are both excellent in the main roles.
Its one of those films you could do with watching a few times, to really get to the bottom of some of the bits.

A product of St Petersburg's famous footballing academy, Bystrov moved to Spartak Moscow in 2005
and hasn't
looked back since. He's got pace to burn and his dribbling is so good that he's now the
most fouled player in the Russian league. Made his debut for national team aged only 20 and also
made the Euro 2004 squad in the same year. He's all set to terrorise Champion League defences this
autumn.
