We recently purchased 3 football shirts from SoccerPro.com, here's our review of the site and the shirts...
All in all, a big thumbs up to SoccerPro.com. We found it a really clear site, very easy to navigate around and find things and very quick as well,
with no unnecessary items cluttering the screen up or slowing the site down. There's a whole range of gear for sale on the site, not just jerseys
and kits but t-shirts, training outfits, balls, boots, even goalposts.
So what did we plump for ? Well, a
Nike Barcelona Long Sleeve Home Jersey
(in preperation of the Champions League final against Man U)
a
Nike Brazil Away Jersey
(too many people knocking around in the home kit at the moment).
and an
Adidas Argentina Away Jersey
(a bit random but a fine looking top and it means we can play Brazil v Argentina at MD Towers).
All the shirts arrived suprisingly quickly and the quality is spot on. Eeh, these new fangled modern material are not like they were when
me and thee were a lad, these things now look like NASA's had a part to play in there production. They're very lightweight - you wouldn't want to be walking
up Ben Nevis in one of them on a winter's afternoon, but vice versa you could probably run a marathon in them in the height of summer and
still not be sweating at the finish line.
The
Barcelona jersey,
Argentina jersey
and the
Brazil jersey
all come with the option of selecting a name on the back, easily added at the time of purchase and very clear how much extra you're
paying (unlike some other online shops we've come across).
Soccerpro looks like the sort of site where you could pick up some real bargains as well, the jerseys we went for had all been reduced in price, and
they're genuine reductions too - when we'd looked at the site a month or so earlier some of the items were being sold at a higher price.
Any negatives to all this ? A few more cult clubs on there would be nice - the choice is limited mainly to the big European leagues and the
major national teams. It would be good to see some more South American teams available (Santos from Brazil appeared to be the only option) like
Boca Juniors or Colo Colo, but maybe that's something for them to think about in the future, and shouldn't detract from a thoroughly
decent all round web experience.
